Beim Halbfinale der Wetzlarer Hallenkreismeisterschaft am gestrigen Sonntag holte sich die D1 den Turniersieg und zog ungeschlagen in die Finalrunde ein. Mit einer etwas veränderten Mannschaftsaufstellung zeigte sich die Schmidt-Elf vor allem spielerisch deutlich verbessert. Zum Turnier: Keeper Marco Schupp musste kurzfristig passen so das die Cleebachtaler ohne etatmäßigen Keeper nach Wetzlar reisen mußten. Dies sollte jedoch die einzige Hiobsbotschaft des Tages bleiben. Gleich im ersten Spiel geland dem FCC ein ungefährdeter 2:0 Erfolg gegen die JSG Waldsolms. Etwas mehr Mühe man mit der JSG Niederwetz, trotz überlegener Spielweise reichte es nur zu einem knappen 1:0 Sieg. Gegen Eintracht Wetzlar lief es wieder besser und der Gruppenligist siegte verdient mit 4:0. Danach wurde die SG Ehringshausen mit einem 10:0 Erfolg förmlich überrollt. Im der letzten Partie trafen die Schmidt-Schützlinge auf den FC Burgsolms, der Ligarivale hatte ebenfalls alle Begegnungen für sich entschieden. Burgsolms führte schnell mit 2:0, doch der FCC hielt dagegen. Mit einer Energieleistung und etwas Unterstützung der Solmsbachtaler kamen die Cleeberger noch zum Ausgleich. Letztendlich ein gelungender Auftritt der D1. Neben Cleeberg und Burgsolms qualifizierte ich noch Eintracht Wetzlar für die Endrunde.

Der FCC spielte: Jonas Nern, Maximilian Ziegler, Andre Krick, Moritz Schmidt, Gian-Luca Itter, Niklas Diebel und Patrick Löw.
